So, here’s the thing. I am scared to death to start from scratch on this platform. That’s just real life. I have tried the blogging thing, picked it up and put it down about 3 or 4 times now over the past 7 years. Even hearing myself say that out loud sounds unreal to me.
7 YEARS, Where could I be NOW if I had stuck with it way back then? But, I do hold a fond place in my heart for each attempt I’ve made at blogging as each time, I’ve learned something new. I’ve learned how to cook and bake new things, how to work a real camera (Canon G7X II), how to edit videos, and I’ve gained a significant amount of experience where writing is concerned. This new blog and my new YouTube channel that accompanies it have been a long time coming. My prayer is that through this, I am able to share my story, possibly helping others along the way, and turn my current waiting room into a classroom as I look ahead and work to make my dream life a reality.

Work Hard
My plan is to upload a post at least once a week here, possibly more if life permits, but definitely one per week. As for YouTube, I plan to officially start tomorrow, which also happens to be my birthday (2/25). I am planning to sit down and talk with you guys a bit about why I’m choosing now to take this next step. While I talk, I’ll be getting some seeds started in my first ever “kitchen garden”. Which I’m hoping will be my classroom for my dream garden one day when we have a bit more room to grow. I know it is going to be hard work. As a wife, a mom, homemaker/homeschooler, a full time University student, and now a blogger/vlogger, I know my days are going to be even more busy than they already are. But I know it will be worth it.

Don’t Be Afraid To Dream
I talked earlier about looking ahead to my dream life. This is something that I’ve heard about over on the Roots & Refuge Farm YouTube channel a lot.
It’s okay to want things for your life, but you have to want it bad enough to step up and take ownership of it. Know that it may not come in your “perfect” timing, but His timing is perfect, and you will want to be ready for it when He does decide to give you the next thing. Jess talks about turning your waiting room into your classroom all the time and this is something that I have definitely taken and applied to my own life, including this blog and my YouTube channel. This isn’t the end goal, this is the next step to reaching the end goal. This is an avenue that will hopefully allow me to reach people, help people, grow community, and eventually see dreams fulfilled not just for myself but for others as well.
I am so excited to see what this new adventure will unfold, and I am so glad you’re here for the journey!
